Trump’s Assassination Attempt

TRUMP’S ASSASSINATION ATTEMPT

Release from the death-dealing grip of power today—the primal determining will that NO ONE controls—cannot be “achieved” by wrestling or struggling, or campaigning, or by revolution. All these efforts fall under the sway of power is only one manifestation of what lies beyond our subjective enthralment by power. We could instead seek the essence of this power, i.e., seek by way of initiation.  Every initiation includes a “death experience.” We will find our way to the essence of power through a death experience. Take this dream I had in 1991:

I am at Saddam Hussein’s death bed. He has finally died. No one knows yet. I decide to give him the last rites as no one else will. To my shock he comes alive again. No one wants this to happen and people start to flee. But then we learn that he has experienced a conversion and is going into the desert to fast. His tyrant days are over.

“Hussein’s” conversion followed a death experience. This being a dream—my dream—I was also being warned that a psychopathic soul figure is undergoing a similar transformation, a (soul) death experience in which I must participate. Michael Douglas’ movie “The Game” is an excellent portrayal of the necessity of a death experience as the path of release from the clutches of power. We may also wonder today, the day of Trump’s assassination attempt, if such a conversion is possible for him. But then we should remember that Hitler had many such literal “near misses”, and his escapes seemed to embolden his sense of invulnerability.

Neither Hitler nor Trump follow(ed) the way of the dream.
