My therapeutic practice, “Psychotherapy with Depth” is based on over thirty years studying, researching, and writing about Jungian psychology, including twelve years of personal analysis and a PhD. This approach gives a valuable depth perspective on our personal lives and on the world we share today. While it is of course important to gain some control and autonomy over our personal lives and difficulties, a depth perspective also helps us understand our place in the greater scheme of things in order to find meaning in these troubled times. Our lives tend to be richer and more fulfilling when both aspects are addressed together.
Psychotherapy with Depth
I emphasise the practical skills every individual needs in order to flourish in relationship, from psycho-educational techniques to reduce anxiety and stress to communication skills that help us navigate conflict and cultivate intimacy. I also have worked for many years with VVCS (Veterans and Veterans Families Counselling Service) specialising in the treatment of trauma (PTSD) and its negative effects on the quality of life for individuals and relationships. I am trained and experienced with various trauma treatment programs as well as John Gottman's methods of working with couples.
