Thirty Years Experience

Anita was trained in psychodrama and has worked with couples since 1974. She has a Masters in Couple and Family Therapy. John has also worked with a systems approach to families and couples since 1975 and gained his license in Marriage and Family Therapy in 1983 (USA). We bring a compatible blend of depth psychotherapy and skills-based approaches to assist couples in distress. We also work with partners who have children, or who are culturally diverse, or who have extended families.

Joint Couples Therapy

Anita and John practice Joint Couples Therapy. Together we bring our combined experience into service for the well-being of the couple. At times we use evidence-based strategies for enhancing relationships or we may help partners deepen their understanding of intimacy. At other times we may confer with each other while our clients "listen in" on our conversation. We have found that this flexible approach helps clients mobilise their inner resources and enrich their partnership.
