Joint Couples Therapy

Anita and John practice Joint Couples Therapy. We work together to bring our combined experience into service for the well-being of the couple. We use evidence-based strategies for strengthening autonomy in relationships. We also help couples deepen the art of intimacy which in our view depends on learning the language of intimacy, thus becoming more transparent to the other, more disclosive, more interdependent.

History

Joint Couples Therapy springs from two forms of therapy historically known as:
.
1. Co-Therapy—psychotherapy conducted with more than one therapist present,

2. Conjoint Therapy—psychotherapy conducted with more than one client present.
.
Joint Couples Therapy is both co-therapy and conjoint therapy.
